LiveActionNews.org — Lisa Harris is a late-term abortionist who works at Planned Parenthood in Michigan. She commits D&E abortions, in which the baby is brutally dismembered. In a presentation at the National Abortion Federation Conference, secretly recorded by David Daleiden, she said, “Our stories don’t really have a place in a lot of pro-choice discourse and rhetoric, right? The heads that get stuck that we can’t get out.”

In an article in Reproductive Health Matters, Harris wrote about dismembering a baby in the womb while pregnant with her own daughter. Her child was the same age as the baby she was aborting:
[I] was more interested than usual in seeing the fetal parts when I was done, since they would so closely resemble those of my own fetus. I went about doing the procedure as usual, removed the laminaria I had placed earlier and confirmed I had adequate dilation. I … picked up my forceps and began to remove the fetus in parts, as I always did. I felt lucky that this one was already in the breech position – it would make grasping small parts (legs and arms) a little easier.
With my first pass of the forceps, I grasped an extremity and began to pull it down. I could see a small foot hanging from the teeth of my forceps. With a quick tug, I separated the leg. Precisely at that moment, I felt a kick – a fluttery “thump, thump” in my own uterus. It was one of the first times I felt fetal movement. There was a leg and foot in my forceps, and a “thump, thump” in my abdomen. Instantly, tears were streaming from my eyes … Doing second trimester abortions did not get easier after my pregnancy; in fact, dealing with little infant parts of my born baby only made dealing with dismembered fetal parts sadder.
Sadly, the experience did not convince Dr. Harris to stop being an abortionist.

In a video recorded at the NAF convention, she admitted that she knew abortion was killing. In response to a question from a pro-choice activist about pictures of aborted babies, Harris said:
[I] actually think that we should be less about denying the reality of those images. More about acknowledging, that yeah, that’s kind of true. … we might actually both agree that there’s violence in here, ask me why I come to work every day. Let’s just give them all, the violence, it’s a person, killing – let’s just give them all that.
Harris is still committing abortions at Planned Parenthood on a regular basis.
