In a video released this week, a female factory worker says she was told not to wear an American flag-themed face mask.
“I’m here at Adient in Eldon, Missouri,” she began. “The date is July 27, 2020 at 4:13 PM, and I was just told by H.R. that we are no longer allowed to wear face masks with the American flag on it because it’s offensive.”

“I don’t know about you, but last time I checked we live in the fucking United States of America,” the woman noted angrily.
“Again,” she continued, “this company is called Adient, and they make seats for Ford. There’s one here in Eldon, Missouri, there’s one in Louisiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and we provide seats for Ford.”
“Adient,” she stressed before spelling out the company’s name. “A-D-I-E-N-T.”
While the woman’s claims have yet to be verified, it is true that Adient has a facility in Eldon, Missouri and does have a relationship with Ford. Both Adient and Ford offer members of the public an opportunity to provide feedback.

In the fall of 2016, Adient was spun off from manufacturing giant Johnson Controls, a company that supports the Black Lives Matter movement.
Black Lives Matter demonstrations have frequently been market by violence, some of which has turned deadly. An 8-year-old girl was shot to death in Atlanta this month after her mother drove into a parking lot occupied by protesters. Meanwhile, an elderly motorist was wounded after he drove past a Black Lives Matter protest in Utah.
