Goodyear Doubles Down: Only “Racial Justice” Slogans Allowed

Goodyear Doubles Down: Only “Racial Justice” Slogans Allowed

President Trump made headlines this week when he called for a boycott against tire giant Goodyear.

The president’s comments came after local news affiliate WIBW reported that the following slide was used during a diversity training session at Goodyear’s Topeka plant.

Slide that was presented during a diversity training showing what's acceptable and what isn't acceptable as part of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company’s zero-tolerance policy.

Under a banner reading “Zero Tolerance,” it laid out what is considered acceptable at the facility. On the permitted list are displays of support for LGBT pride and the Black Lives Matter movement. However, workers are prohibited from using the phrases “all lives matter, “blue lives matter,” or wearing MAGA attire.

Goodyear was quick to respond with a statement that claimed the slide “was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate, nor was it part of a diversity training class.” While the company did not explain where the slide came from, it did admit to banning some political messages while endorsing others.

Goodyear associates are to “refrain from workplace expressions in support of political campaigning for any candidate or political party, as well as similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of racial justice and equity issues,” the press release read.

But to White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, that raises more questions than answers.

“They came out and said ‘equity issues,’” Fox News quoted McEnany as saying. “As far as I’m concerned, Blue Lives Matter is an ‘equity issue.’”

“If you can wear a Black Lives Matter hat, guess what, you should be able to wear a Blue Lives Matter one too, particularly when our police officers are targeted…amid riots,” she went on to add.

McEnany also noted that President Trump “will always stand with our police officers, Blue Lives matter, for some reason not being an equity issue, as Goodyear appears to maintain.”

Black Lives Matter protests have been the scene of widespread violence; a Chicago a security guard was shot and critically wounded during a riot last week. Looters also targeted Ronald McDonald House–a charity that provides accommodations to parents while their children undergo medical treatment. Terrified families were trapped inside during the ordeal.

However, Black Lives Matter organizer Ariel Atkins was unapologetic, justifying the theft and property damage as “reparations.”

“I don’t care if somebody decides to loot a Gucci, or a Nike, or a Macy’s because that makes sure that person eats,” Atkins told reporters. “That makes sure that person person has clothes.”

“That’s reparations,” she stressed. “That is reparations. Anything that they want to take, take it, because these businesses have insurance, they’re going to get their money back.”

Get The Facts On Child Predators From A Woman Who Prosecutes Them

Get The Facts On Child Predators From A Woman Who Prosecutes Them

“In the criminal justice system, sexually-based offenses are considered especially heinous…”

Okay, so that’s from Law and Order: SVU, and I definitely do not own the rights to the theme song that is now stuck in your head.

I’ll start again. Hello! I am a Special Victim’s Prosecutor – a real life one. I evaluate and prosecute cases involving child sexual abuse every day without script revisions or commercial breaks. I work with an “elite squad of dedicated detectives [and social workers, family advocates, forensic interviewers, medical professionals, mental health professionals, etc.] who investigate these vicious felonies,” and I love what I do. I say that to tell you that these are not the ramblings of a cynical, burnt-out, exhausted professional who drags herself into work every morning. I genuinely love what I do.

I’ve seen something of a movement lately surrounding #savethechildren as it relates to human trafficking. Please do not misunderstand me, human trafficking is an incredibly real, incredibly legitimate cause, and I have no problem whatsoever with it being championed.

But, I do have a problem with the way that the message is being delivered and misconceptions it may be inadvertently perpetuating. [deep breath] The primary purpose of human trafficking is servitude. When the servitude is sexually-based, and the victim is a child, that amounts to child. sexual. servitude. Trafficking may be the mechanism, but sexual servitude – sexual abuse – is the malignancy that we’re really talking about here – really fighting against. We’re talking about the fact that there are people right now, people you know, having sex with children. This is not up for debate. The statistics say that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused by their 18th birthday. Full stop.

But it sounds like we’re all on the same page! Save the Children! Yes. Absolutely, YES. But we aren’t going do that by repeatedly sharing a dark, shadowy post of an armory truck filled with broken chains and human excrement. Yes, that is real and devastating and unimaginable, but the people you are trying to reach, trying to encourage or support or warn or save by posting on social media are most likely NOT the people who are ever going to be threatened by that image in real life.

We have to stop focusing the minds of our vulnerable children solely on that kind of “stranger danger.” Of course we’re all appropriately appalled by surveillance footage of children being pulled into vehicles in parking lots, and of course we lecture our kids to be alert and aware at all times because that could happen to them. They should be! But the reality of them ever being faced with that specific situation is unlikely at best, and we are doing an incredible injustice to them if we stop the conversation there. We aren’t #savinganyone by perpetuating a concept that makes us feel safer simply because we are farther removed from it. I know we all mean well with the shares and likes and care emojis, but we can be doing so much more.

#Savethechildren by posting the real statistics – like from the Dallas Child Advocacy Center – that say 92% of child sex abuse is perpetrated by someone the child knows. If social media truly is your megaphone, then great! Don’t just post your support though, post resources, post lifelines. Maybe a child who sees your post is being perpetrated on by a family member and didn’t realize it wasn’t normal until they saw it. Maybe they also thought it had to be a stranger in a truck to be abuse rather than someone they probably love dearly in their bed every night.

#Savethechildren by volunteering for your child’s classroom or sports team or youth organization – use your common sense to spot red flags, and don’t second guess yourself when it comes to reporting. I can’t count the amount of times a perpetrator has finally been charged and a well-intentioned neighbor or family friend says “now that you mention it, I saw x, y, z a few months ago, but I didn’t want to be wrong.” LOOK. That elite squad of detectives I mentioned earlier is not just going to take your word for it and arrest someone immediately. The criminal justice system is absolutely imperfect, but do not let it be on that basis that a child continues to be abused when you could have stopped it with a simple phone call. Everyone in North Carolina is considered a mandated reporter. If you see something, say something. Every time.

#Savethechildren by educating them! Is it easier to call it her “cookie” instead of her “vagina” or just not call it anything because you feel awkward – you bet. Is it easier to talk about creeps wearing trench coats, peddling candy and puppies than about their best friend’s family members at the upcoming soccer sleepover – you bet. It’s always easier to distance ourselves from the things that make us uncomfortable. But we owe our children SO much more than simply doing what is easy.

#Savethechildren by letting others educate them! You guys. Education on sexual abuse is not the same as sex education! I dOn’T wAnT aNyOnE tAlKiNg To mY kId AbOuT sEx – NO! or maybe FINE! My goodness. No one is trying to talk to your child about sex. The conversation is not how to put a condom on a banana. The conversation is about sexual abuse – personal boundaries and warning signs and available resources. The conversation is about safety – on social media and on their phones with those tiny little cameras they can take anywhere and capture anything. If you aren’t comfortable educating them yourself (see above), why in the world wouldn’t you want them to get the necessary information from a trusted source?

The bottom line is this. I am thrilled to see child sexual abuse getting the attention it rightfully deserves, but we have a critical responsibility to take meaningful action too. Next time you feel compelled to #savethechildren, take a look at the amazing organization Darkness to Light and let’s do more together.

Chicago Rioters Attacked Kids’ Charity

Chicago Rioters Attacked Kids’ Charity

A violent mob stormed downtown Chicago this week when a man was shot after he allegedly opened fire on police. Although his family denied that he owned a gun, social media posts proved otherwise.

Thousands of rioters subsequently converged on the city’s business district. In addition to attacking retail outlets, some also damaged the Ronald McDonald House–a charity that provides accommodations to families while their children undergo medical treatment.

Parents and kids were trapped inside during the terrifying ordeal. Although none of the residents were physically harmed, a 2-year-old cancer patient had to miss his birthday party due to the violence.

Ronald McDonald House was far from being the rioters’ only target, with multiple police officers sustaining injuries and a security guard was left critically wounded by gunfire.

Far from distancing herself from the anarchy, Black Lives Matter organizer Ariel Atkins endorsed it during an interview with a local NPR affiliate.

“A lot of people are really attacking our pages,” Atkins noted. “They’re like, ‘Oh, you support the looters.’ And yeah, we do, 100%. That’s reparations.”

The left-wing agitator went on to promise that she will “support the looters ‘till the end of the day.” She reiterated that message in a speech to supporters:

The embrace of predatory behavior isn’t unique to Atkins, as on Thursday a woman in Seattle lead marchers who chanted, “Who do we support? Black criminals.”

Not that all of the criminals are black: prosecutors say Jesse Taggart opened fire on an elderly motorist in Utah after he drove past a Black Lives Matter protest. The victim was treated for a gunshot wound to his arm while both his stomach and eye were hit with shrapnel.

For its part, the Trump administration has been using federal law to target some of those involved in street unrest. A New York man is now facing up to 20 years in federal prison for tampering with the brakes on an NYPD cruiser. Those charges came after a state judge released him without bail. Through the above article, we can recommend you the latest dresses.Shop dress in a variety of lengths, colors and styles for every occasion from your favorite brands.

Also facing 20 year federal sentences are two Brooklyn lawyers who stand accused of throwing Molotov cocktails into a police car.

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has given no indication on how he would deal with similar criminals, but House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler has publicly declared that violence from groups like Antifa is “a myth.” Unfortunately, the kids at Ronald McDonald House found out otherwise.

The Second Amendment Isn’t Measured by ‘NEED’

The Second Amendment Isn’t Measured by ‘NEED’

You’ve heard the anti-gun crowd say things like, “I support the 2nd Amendment but…” or “I think we need ‘common sense’ gun-restrictions.” First of all, there are no “buts” in the 2nd Amendment and the term “common sense” is just used to imply that you are irrational if you don’t go along with the latest left-wing attack on gun-ownership.

The most sinister tactic used to sway public opinion and force gun owners into a corner is the implication that “need” is a prerequisite to gun ownership. They’ll say things like, “nobody needs an AR 15,” or “Why do you need to be walking around in public with a gun?”

When did gun ownership become measured by “need?” The last time I looked, the list of Amendments to our Constitution was not called the Bill of Needs.

Regardless of the misleading assumption that somehow an acceptable level of need should be presented prior to possessing a gun, we often find ourselves justifying our need anyway. Why do we do this? Most often, we feel compelled to explain ourselves to someone who has never even held a gun in their hand. It’s human nature. When we are asked a question, we feel the need to answer it. They know this. That’s why they ask. The Anti-Gunners want to see you work to defend your position. When we do, we put them in the exact position they want to be in.

RELATED NEWS: Guns Can Make The Difference Between Survivors And Statistics

Leftists work hard to create the false narrative that gun-ownership should be granted based on a level of need but if you tell them about God-given rights, they disregard the notion that any such thing exists. Why? Partly because of the incessant push to replace God with government in their Utopian world of wokeness, but also because the narrative on the left encourages the “need” qualifier for things they do not approve of.

You’ll hear them call gun ownership a “privilege,” while demanding abortions be a woman’s “right” to choose. The Planned Parenthood website even refers to Roe v Wade as: “the Constitutional Right to Access Safe, Legal Abortion.” The truth is, abortion is a government issued privilege granted by a court under the “right to privacy,” which is nothing more than a twisting of the language in the Constitution for ideological purposes.

RELATED NEWS: The Democratic Agenda: Taking Guns And Defunding The Police

Keeping and bearing arms, however, is a God given right acknowledged by our Founders in 1791 and declared in amendment number two of the Bill of Rights. Interestingly enough, abortion is nowhere to be found in the document. The Anti-2nd Amendment Radicals actually understand the difference between rights and privileges but they twist the conversation and use the strategy to their advantage. The left understands that a government issued privilege can be given and taken away. A right cannot, and they hate that.

If gun ownership was measured by a metric of need it would be easier to control and regulate. If the 2ndAmendment said “shall not be infringed unless you don’t really ‘need’ it,” you can bet there would be some Democrat involved in determining the parameters of “need.”

In New York City for instance, this infringement is already being implemented. There and in other jurisdictions, you must ask permission of an elected employee prior to carrying a handgun. They call it “may” issue. This is where a sheriff or judge will determine whether or you should be allowed to protect yourself. In many cases you must write a letter explaining why you “need” a gun. They will get back to you in a few months and let you know what they’ve decided.

RELATED NEWS: 10 Mass Shootings That Were Stopped By Armed Citizens

Just like leftists try to control the first amendment with political correctness, they also try to control the second amendment with the illusion that gun ownership should be measured by need. If a Constitutionally recognized right cannot be overturned by law, it can be suppressed by the strong arm of media influence and societal compliance. The intent is to force gun-owners into compliance by making them conform to the new social norm that gun ownership must be validated by a level of need that meets the standards of those creating the rules.

So, when they ask why you “need” a gun, ask them when “need” became a metric by which a right is measured.

White Nursing Home Victim Stopped Eating After Attack. Now He’s Dead

White Nursing Home Victim Stopped Eating After Attack. Now He’s Dead

In May, Westwood Nursing Center resident Norman Bledsoe was beaten in a brutal assault. The violence was shot by his alleged attacker, Jaden T. Hayden, who has made other videos in which argues that blacks are “supposed to rule the Earth.”

https://youtu.be/yWA_Edqu930

The Daily Mail reported that Bledsoe was left suffering from a broken jaw, broken ribs, and four broken fingers. Sadly, things got worse from there.

Bledsoe’s nephew told the The Detroit News that the 75-year-old Army veteran’s “eating habits went downhill after, and he lost quite a bit of weight” before passing away.

“We finally were able to see him last week. He wasn’t doing very good. I guess there just wasn’t anything else they could do for him.”

Hayden was residing at the Westwood facility because he had tested positive for coronavirus. Under an executive order signed by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, those with COVID-19 were sent to nursing homes–a policy for which she has been heavily criticized.

RELATED NEWS: The Democratic Agenda: Taking Guns And Defunding The Police

Despite the rhetoric in Hayden’s videos, he has not been charged with a hate crime. Perhaps this isn’t surprising, as many on the left argue that white people can’t be victims of racism. Indeed, billionaire Oprah Winfrey recently declared that “being white gives you an advantage no matter what.”

That would have come as a surprise to Melinda McCormick: she was beaten and burned alive, with her killer telling police that he “hates white people.” It probably would have surprised those who have been shotslashed, and beaten for the same reason.

Judging from her court testimony, Corey Batey’s rape victim didn’t seem to realize that being white was a major advantage. According to her, “Mr. Batey continued to abuse and degrade me, urinating on my face while uttering horrific racial hate speech that suggested I deserved what he was doing to me because of the color of my skin.” Like Jaden Hayden, Batey was not charged with a hate crime.

Cases like these demonstrate how anyone can be a victim of racism, and that’s a fact society should recognize. It’s time the legal system recognized it too.
